Introduction
As someone who's never done a review before, I was inspired to share my thoughts and findings on a pair of boots that I couldn't seem to find much information on. I recently got my hands on a pair of Timberland PRO Rigmaster 8″ Summits, and after wearing them all day, I wanted to share my experience.
Timberland PRO Rigmaster 8″ Summit: Features and Benefits
These boots come packed with numerous features, including a composite toe, electrical hazard protection, and anti-odor properties. In addition, they have a shank for added stability and a special midsole called “Step Propel” for increased comfort. Let's dive into the details of these features.
Composite Toe with Carbon Shield
The Rigmaster 8″ Summit boots have a composite toe which incorporates Timberland's Carbon Shield technology. This provides durable and lightweight protection, ensuring your toes stay safe while on the job.
Electrical Hazard Protection
These boots also boast electrical hazard protection, which is essential for anyone working in environments with potential electrical hazards. Safety is a top priority, and this feature helps keep you protected in any situation.
Anti-Odor Properties
Nobody wants smelly boots, and thankfully, these Timberland boots come with an anti-odor treatment. They help to prevent the growth of odor-causing bacteria, keeping your feet fresh and your boots smell-free.
Shank and Step Propel Midsole
The boots feature a shank for added stability, ensuring you can comfortably wear these boots all day long. Furthermore, they have a unique midsole called “Step Propel,” which is Timberland's version of the popular Boost technology found in numerous athletic footwear brands.
Step Propel provides excellent cushioning and energy return, allowing for a comfortable and supportive fit. It may feel slightly firmer compared to other Boost materials, but for individuals like me who weigh 300 pounds, it feels great.
Additional Features
In addition to the aforementioned features, these boots also come with a rubber toe cap for added durability and a rubber heel guard for easy removal without damaging the leather. They are waterproof, ensuring your feet stay dry even in wet conditions.
Fit and Size
As someone who has never owned a pair of Timberlands before and typically wears a size 12 in other boot brands like Wolverine, I was unsure how these would fit. After reading online that these boots might not have as wide a base as some other Timberland models, I opted to order a size 12 wide.
Fortunately, the boots fit perfectly, true to size. Though I don't have an extremely wide foot, I appreciate the additional width to ensure maximum comfort throughout the day.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I'm impressed with the Timberland PRO Rigmaster 8″ Summit boots, especially given their Boost insole, Step Propel technology, and various protective features. They provide the comfort, stability, and protection necessary for a long day on the job. If you're considering picking up a pair for yourself, I highly recommend them.

Hey buddy what would you rather wear the summit or the boondocks . I got the 8inch summit but been thinking about the boondocks, summits are perfect no problems but what would you choose
Just got the 6inch version yesterday, first time wearing safety toe boots, wore them all afternoon (6+ hours) even not broken in yet they were comfortable the whole time, fit around my foot perfect not too tight not too loose.
I just ordered a pair of these in 6 inch. My last 4 pair of work boots have been timberland pro. I'll prob put up a review myself seeing as how I haven't posted a video in a while.
@johnnyjayfive they are holding up great. I have no complaints! They are still very comfy and I wear them about 12 hours a day four days a week. I clean them up on weekends and wear them out if I wear pants.
Thanks for the info. I’m looking at getting these but probably in the 6” how have they been holding up for you? I have been using the hyper charge pros anti fatigue and I absolutely love them thinking these are a step up. I love timb boots but I feel like you get the best of them in the first year and then you have to get new ones again.
