Testing the Edgewater Field Boot in All Weather
When we pulled on the Edgewater Original Men’s 15″ Field Boots for the first time, we understood why they’re a staple in so many gear closets. Over several weeks, we wore them through steady rain, slushy backroads, and dry, hard-packed trails. The neoprene shafts hugged our calves without feeling restrictive, while the rubber lowers shrugged off mud and standing water. Traction on wet grass and loose gravel was better than we expected from a boot that looks this straightforward. That said, we did notice our feet heating up during longer walks in milder weather, and the break-in period around the ankles took a couple of outings. Still, if weatherproof reliability ranks higher than lightweight breathability for you, these boots earn their place by the door.
