Testing the Limits in Our Oakley LT Assault 2 Boots felt less like lacing up footwear and more like gearing up for a field test. From the first step, we noticed how light they felt for such a rugged build, almost as if our feet had ditched a weight class. The supportive ankle collar and firm midsole gave us confidence scrambling over loose rock and uneven trail without feeling overly stiff or restrictive. Breathability was another surprise-our feet stayed relatively cool, even when the temperature and our pace climbed. Still, while the boots handled abuse on dirt, gravel, and urban concrete, a few design choices left us questioning their long-term comfort for all-day wear.
