Testing Showave’s Ankle Rain Boots in the Mud
We took the Showave Men’s Ankle Rain Boots straight into the mess they’re made for: a soggy backyard after two days of solid rain. From the first step into the mud, we noticed how securely the rubber uppers hugged our ankles, keeping the muck out without feeling stiff or claustrophobic. The tread gripped wet grass and slick paving stones better than we expected from such a low-profile boot. While the minimalist design won’t turn heads, it slips easily under work pants and hoses off in seconds. We did, however, find the insoles a bit flat during longer wear, which may have some of us reaching for aftermarket inserts. Overall, these booties feel purpose-built for quick, dirty jobs rather than all-day treks.
