Timberland Pro Boondock: The Ultimate Work Boot?
Nearly two and a half years ago, I made a video discussing the best work boots and promised a follow-up video about the Timberland Boondock Pro. I have finally returned to share my thoughts and experiences with these boots. Let's dive into the results.
Why I Chose the Timberland Boondock Pro
Being someone who wears work boots all day, every day, it's all about utility for me. I don't see the point in spending a lot of money on clothing items that will only be worn once or twice, and that's why I was willing to spend around 200 pounds (approximately $272) on the Timberland Boondock Pro. These boots had to be shipped from the United States, but I believed the investment would be worth it.
Two and a Half Years Later: How Have They Held Up?
The Timberland Boondock Pros have been on my feet pretty much every day for the past two and a half years. The top of the boots still looks good, and the leather hasn't cracked. These boots feature anti-fatigue soles, which provide a great amount of comfort for all-day wear.
However, the soles on my boots have started to wear down significantly, especially on the right boot's heel. This wear and tear might be attributed to the fact that I am a lorry driver and spend most of my time sitting down. If you were on a construction site or walking on rough terrain regularly, it's possible that the sole would have worn down even more quickly.
It should be noted that I tried to repair the worn heel with a product called Stromshaw, which provided some temporary relief, but it's evident that the sole won't last forever.
Would I Recommend the Timberland Boondock Pro?
In short, it depends. If you live in the United States, the Timberland Boondock Pro is a fantastic option because it is more affordable than in the United Kingdom. YouTube script However, if you reside in the UK and are considering these boots, it may be more cost-effective to explore other options. The price difference between the US and UK for these boots is significant, with the current cost in the UK being between 350 and 400 pounds ($477 – $545).
Moreover, Timberland now offers a UK version called the Timberland Pro, which features composite toe caps similar to the Boondock Pro. These boots are priced at a more reasonable 130 pounds ($177), so they might be worth considering instead of the Boondock Pro.
For now, I will continue to rely on my Timberland Boondock Pros and will eventually transition back to my trusty Elli ansers for the winter months. When the time comes to replace my current work boots, I will likely give the Timberland Pro a try and will share my experiences with that alternative.

The smelly Helly's have a Vibram sole too, that means you can get that sole replaced for a fraction of the cost the timberlands would cost, because Vibram make shoes and soles and the way the soles are attached means that they can be pulled off and replaced easily.

Wonder if you can find someone online who would ship a pair ? ….. even paying 30% in tax ( post singles as samples to avoid the tax ) it should come in around the 200 quid ….. just a thought .
