The tall neoprene shaft seals out muck and slush, while the rubber lower shrugs off manure, spilled oil, and surprise puddles. We noticed the cushioning is substantial enough for long days on our feet, though not so plush that it feels squishy or unstable on ladders. Traction is reliable on wet grass and packed dirt, but less impressive on slick concrete.
