The problem is that there aren't many genuine reviews out there on YouTube. Instead, there are mostly just company teasers and short clips from reps talking about how great their boots are. But what about real-life, hard use feedback from people who actually wear these boots every day? That's been nearly impossible to find. So, my hope is that with this article, I can contribute to the boots discussion and help others find their perfect pair.
From Redwing to Ariat: The Quest Continues
In a previous video, I mentioned that I went to Redwing and actually got fitted for a pair. I was all set to buy Redwing boots, regardless of how much they cost. The thing is, I just wasn't 100% sold on them. Instead, I wanted something that's a slip-on western-style boot, largely because I don't want to deal with laces breaking. I've been using this style for around seven years now and it's what I prefer. Ariat boots kept coming up during my research, receiving positive reviews, so they were next on my list.

This is supposed to provide extra support and springiness to keep your feet comfortable on the job. Based on my first impression of these boots, I can see why this technology is a selling point.

The Timberland Pro AG Boss is a waterproof boot featuring what's called a “Coolmax thermal regulating system.” Of course, it's important to remember that nothing is ever really 100% waterproof, but it's still nice to have that extra level of protection.
