Timberland Pro Powertrain Sports SP: Lightweight Material with an Aluminum Toe

The Timberland Pro Powertrain Sports SP is a work shoe that boasts an aluminum toe, offering the wearer a comfortable, supportive, and safe experience. The shoe is designed for those who have grown up wearing soft sports shoes and require safety-toe footwear for their jobs. Many people who have not worn safety shoes find them uncomfortable and heavy. Timberland has addressed these concerns by using the latest technologies and lightweight materials to create a soft, flexible, and comfortable work shoe with an aluminum toe.

Anti-Fatigue Sole and Oil Resistant Slip

The Timberland Pro Powertrain Sports SP features an anti-fatigue sole designed to provide maximum comfort throughout the shoe's life. Its oil-resistant slip offers additional protection to ensure the shoe remains comfortable and supportive during wear. These shoes are not exceptionally durable and may not last long for those who are constantly walking, such as delivery drivers for Amazon, UPS, or FedEx. However, the shoe is comfortable from the moment it is first put on right up to when it needs replacing.

Aluminum Toe for Added Safety

Timberland chose to use an aluminum toe in their Powertrain sports shoe because they understand that people who wear these shoes may use them to kick heavy objects, such as pallet jacks or forklifts. The aluminum toe ensures maximum safety as it is less likely to fail under pressure or heavy impact. It also provides an added level of protection compared to composite materials, which could compromise the shoe's safety if prematurely fractured.

Comfortable and Flexible Design

The shoe features a ripstop material backed with foam padding for added comfort inside the shoe. There are no rough spots or sharp corners inside, and the shoe is designed to fit snugly around the wearer's foot, resulting in a lightweight and comfortable experience. The ankle is conveniently cut away so it does not dig into the wearer's ankle bone or Achilles tendon, while the heel cup provides extra support.

Customizable Lacing System and Footbed

The lacing system on the Timberland Pro Powertrain Sports SP is designed to fit securely and comfortably around the foot. It is made from polypropylene material and is sewn deep into the shoe for added durability. Though the shoe may not be the most long-lasting, it is meant to be comfortable for a specific period and then replaced.

The shoe comes with a lightweight footbed, making it suitable for those with custom orthotics developed by their podiatrist. You can easily remove the original footbed and replace it with your custom footbed for a perfect fit, arch support, and heel support.

30-Day Comfort Guarantee

Timberland Pro offers a 30-day comfort guarantee for their Powertrain Sports SP shoe. If you face any issues with the shoe, the company provides a 1-800 number for assistance. Timberland seeks to learn what's happening with the shoe and help address the problem first-hand rather than having you return it to the store.

Lightweight and Comfortable Safety Shoe

Weighing in at just 2.4 pounds per pair, the Timberland Pro Powertrain Sports SP offers a lightweight, comfortable, and safe work shoe option. Its aluminum toe and anti-fatigue sole make it suitable for those who require a safety shoe for their job, while still offering the comfort of a soft sports shoe.

  1. I've walked several mountain hikes in these shoes. They've worked awesomely and even seemed to be waterproof, as I inadvertently put my foot in water.

  2. Just got these recently, id say these are alright but the insert could be better and more supportive/ more cushion. It feels pretty weak and less cushion. Id planned on getting some mega comfort inserts to use.

  3. Timberland makes the best and lightest hard toe shoes!! I’ve tried them all!! Keen makes good shoes as well just a little heavier. Those are my 2 go to work shoes!!!

  4. I throw my work boots away after 1 year no matter what. I work hard and want my feet to be taken care of. I tried on a pair of these the other day and was blown away how comfortable they are. I put my beloved Georgia boot away for these. Even with a safety toe they rank up with the Brooks running shoes in comfort. Mind blown all these years I laughed at Timberland and thought they were all for show boots. Nope Great boots.

  5. These soles snap in half after about 4 months. I'm in food service delivery. Exceptional grip and comfort. But intend on replacing them quickly. I'm trying the redwings and hope that they last longer.

  6. I just bought a pair. $115 . I was wearing the fly knit vapormax before I put them on. And they are just as comfortable. I've had them on for about 3 hrs now. I thought I would need to break them in. Definitely not necessary. They are hands down the most comfortable work shoes I've ever had. The inside is seamless, and there is absolutely zero discomfort from the safety toe. Over all, if they last at least 6 months, I'll be buying these as long as they make em! Bought for use by an impact glass installer

  7. I’m a big guy 385lbs + I drive 60%of the time and I’m out of my truck working the rest. I recommend it . It’s only been a week so I can’t tell you how long they might last but I used to wear a Redwing Truhiker 5” boot but made my feet hurt everyday after a 10-12 hour workday. Big difference with these Timberland Pro at the end of the day.

  8. Amazon 40hrs a week 10hr shifts. This shoe looks awesome, low composition, and comfy all day. 👍Ordered 4thpair for rotation and stylish look yesterday. 😎

  9. I have a pair of these shoes walking average of 10 Mi per night delivering parts for Toyota. They are very comfortable Welbilt and I will be purchasing Timberland Pros for now on
